Message That is actually what it stands for, but I have yet to see it grow pointed ears. ;-)

Vulcanization is a process of solidifying, commonly used with rubber in the tire manufactuing process. Typical vulcanization processes require both heat and pressure to make the process work, but the "RTV" is actually a specification, not a product name.
